Police believe two teenage girls were responsible for an incident in which a couple were assaulted and robbed last night.
It will be alleged that about 9.10pm, a 20-year-old woman and her boyfriend were followed from the Claisebrook Train Station to Henry Street in East Perth by a group of girls.
The offenders approached them, threatened them with a knife and demanded money, before one of the girls assaulted the couple
The attack is believed to have continued even after the woman fell to the ground.
The two victims handed over cash to the offenders, before one of them grabbed the handbag of the female victim.
The group then ran from the area, but were chased by witnesses.
Dog squad officers found the two alleged offenders a short time later.
A 13-year-old girl from Lockridge and a 17-year-old girl from Beechboro have each been charged with aggravated armed robbery and are due to appear before the Perth Children’s Court today.Follow WAtoday on Twitter
