PLEASE HELP US TO HELP FLYNN EDIS!
A young boy with a hell of a fight ahead.
Flynn had been to see two doctors with complaints of pain in his hips, back and legs, both doctors treated him for a urinary tract infection which had not helped with Flynn’s pain.
Kellyanne, Flynn’s Mother had taken Flynn to yet another doctor to seek further medical advice.
Kellyanne concerned for her young son, asked for blood tests to be done knowing her energetic bundle of joy was not himself.
On October 21, Kellyanne took Flynn for his blood tests.
Later that night Kellyanne received the phone call that would change everything.
The Doctor asked Kellyanne to bring Flynn straight to the Hospital as Flynn had to be flown to Sydney’s Children’s Hospital to start treatment immediately.
Young Flynn, the boy who had blood tests just hours before for the pain in his hips, back and legs, is now being treated for ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKAEMIA.
A type of Cancer that effects bone marrow and blood.
A young boy about to celebrate his fourth Birthday the very next day, Saturday October 22 now has the biggest battle of his life.
Flynn started treatment that consisted of chemotherapy (prednisone), morphine, lumber puncture, bone marrow and more chemotherapy.
At just four years old Flynn doesn’t understand why the Doctors keep prodding and poking or why his hair is falling out or why his Mum sits by his bed with tears in her eyes.
Flynn is still only a baby not even started School yet, but now this little boy has six months of intensive treatment ahead of him.
Four days every fortnight in Sydney’s Children’s Hospital followed by 18 months of maintenance treatment depending on cell counts.
This treatment is expensive but with your help he too could have a future as bright as his smile. Every little bit will help fight for Flynn.
