Photo courtesy of Paul Anderson THE NATIONALS Member for Burrinjuck, Katrina Hodgkinson, today announced the successful community and local government groups in the Burrinjuck electorate that will receive NSW Government funding from the Community Building Partnerships Program.
The 20 successful applicants will share in $300,000 allocated to the Burrinjuck electorate.
Katrina said the successful applicants in the Upper Lachlan Shire Council are:
* The Crookwell AP&H society will receive $8,000 to upgrade the public address (PA) system at the showground.
* The Crookwell Gun Club will receive $13,160 to replace and upgrade disability toilets at the gun club shooting range.
* Upper Lachlan Shire Council will receive $15,000 towards improving lighting and other facilities at the Memorial Oval.
“This year applications for well over $500,000 in assistance were received, so unfortunately not all applications could receive funding or be fully funded,” Katrina said.
“Overall I was very impressed by the standard of all of the applications from the Burrinjuck electorate, which demonstrated the hard work and effort put into seeking funding by volunteer workers committed to helping their local community.
“The Community Building Partnerships Program specifically requires local businesses and tradespeople to be involved in these local infrastructure upgrade projects.
“I welcome the funding that has been provided and congratulate those organisations that were successful.
“The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is delivering local infrastructure improvements across all regional areas,” Katrina said.
