Co-ordinator George Mackinlay was pleased with the turn out and the support shown to this local event.

Elite Cyclist Taryn Heather was home for the weekend and on hand to present awards to some of our junior winners. Taryn will head overseas later this month for several months training & competing and should represent Australia again in the World Championships later in the year in the Netherlands. Several former Holbrook residents supported the triathlon again this year, Taryn’s husband Ryan Clifford competed in the open men’s along with her brother Andrew Heather and sister in-law Carly Heather. Others include Jane Duck (Mackinlay), Danny Whitley, Andrew Reichel, Cathy Moore (McKenzie) and Danielle Parr.

The organisers wish to thank all those who assisted in the lead up to the event as we as those who helped on the day as this makes for the running of the day. This annual event was once again made possible through the generous support of local sponsors and we thank them all for their generosity.

Mary and Jordyn Mackinlay were on hand to present the Bruce Mackinlay Memorial Shield for the 2nd year to open winner Caleb Noble. Caleb competed in and won both the junior and open male races.
