Dungog Council’s economic development and tourism coordinator Ivan Skaines said the owners of the hotel want to become members of the VIC.

“A famil tour of the establishment is a good way for the volunteers to know what is available,” he said.

“This helps visitor information centre staff acquire information about the business, what type of accommodation is available and what is planned for the future.

“It’s great to see the new owners and hear of their plans for the bar, restaurant and accommodation as their provides more opportunities for locals and visitors.”
